As an individual who has been an adult Girl Scout for almost 40 years and a proud life member of the organization, I am appalled by the comments of Rep. Bob Morris.

I spent many years on the board of directors of the local Girl Scout council and four years as its president. I know what the Girls Scouts stand for. The work that the Girl Scouts do day in and day out and have done for 100 years is vital to the development of girls in our community and our country. Let’s get behind the Girl Scouts and show those doing this important work that it is appreciated.
