Get ready for South Side-Homestead III

Last year, it was Homestead which sent South Side home in the sectional.

The Archers gained the revenge Friday with a 66-57 win over the host Spartans in the sectional semifinals.

Round 3 next year could be interesting as both teams return plenty of underclassmen for another classic postseason matchup.

South Side has Ariana Simmons, Britni Clopton, Dejoyah Johnson, Lakyn Gulley and Lynnia Noel, while Homestead counters with Emily Bley, Sydney Buck, Grace German, Josie Fisher and Katherine Smith.

"It was a great sectional matchup, so hopefully we can learn from it and improve and get back at it next year," Homestead coach Rod Parker said. "I am sure we will end up meeting South Side again."
